Liam and Dex

Liam and Dex finally got to meet each other last Friday!!

We left Indianapolis on Thursday afternoon and arrived safely in Amsterdam early on Friday morning. We're happy to say Liam did really well on the flight from Indianapolis to Washington D.C. and also on the long flight from D.C. to Amsterdam. Thankfully there was a man in the seat next to me who was nice enough to move so we could have a seat for Liam. Our little guy is a great traveller...he slept most of the time!

Here are a few photos of Dex with his little brother. I can already tell they're going to be great buddies. :)

Liam - 12 weeks old

Liam was 12 weeks old yesterday! Seriously, where does the time go??

Heading to Holland

Ben, Liam and I are leaving for Holland on Thursday to visit family and introduce Liam to everyone...he's most excited to meet his big brother, Dex! :o)

I haven't been back since Christmas last year so I'm really looking forward to seeing everyone. See you all soon!! Groetjes!

Niagara Falls!

Ben surprised me with a special trip for my 30th birthday.

The only two hints he gave me were
1. the weather forecast (so I knew how to pack)
and
2. that we had a layover in Cincinnati.
I thought maybe we were going to Boston, NYC or Washington DC so you can imagine my surprise when he told me it was time to board and we got on a plane to Buffalo! Buffalo?!?? Who goes to Buffalo?? We were on our way to Niagara Falls!!! Ben had gone a few years ago and promised me he would take me there someday. :) He's always good for his word!

We made our way from the airport and across the border into Canada. We arrived late on Friday night but still got to enjoy the Falls all lit up from our hotel room! Beautiful! (Unfortunately the pic doesn't do it justice)
On Saturday we took a closer look and enjoyed ourselves so much! We walked around, shopped a bit and of course enjoyed two of my favorite things in Canada...coffee at Tim Horton's and dinner at The Keg.
We got up early on Sunday to see the sun rise over the falls (from our room), went for breakfast before it got too crowded then back to our room to relax before we had to checkout at noon.

Off we went to explore a little village called Niagara on the Lake and before we knew it it was time to head to the airport to go back home. It was a fabulous weekend and I loved spending it alone with my husband. Thanks babe!

Our Little Pumpkin

Liam was a pumpkin for Halloween. Of course I only got to see him in his costume for a few minutes before Ben and I were off to the airport for my surprise birthday weekend. Mom and Judd kept Liam and had him in his little costume while handing out candy to the trick-or-treaters. He was the cutest little pumpkin! Thanks to big cousin Jack who let us borrow his costume from his first Halloween!
He's not really a little terror! We just thought the shirt was too cute! :)
